Rally to support longterm caregivers. Family caregivers will tell their stories and appeal to legislators to act NOW to address the surge in senior care needs that demographics tell us is happening.

If passed, this will be a first for the nation and will provide a model for other states to follow in ensuring that family caregivers have the support they need to care for their loved ones at home. Especially as the politics of the new administration unfold in D.C., it is critical that states do all they can to protect the most vulnerable amongst us and ensure that we can care for our kupuna in accordance with our values.
 
SB534/HB607 will allow family caregivers to access funds ($70 a day) to pay for trained caregivers when they need additional help. It will allow caregivers to keep working and build their own Social Security while helping businesses retain experienced employees. It will help kupuna get the care they need in their own homes.
